Case Studies

Al Majal Logistics Services is proud to support the operations of Baker Hughes in Iraq. Whether its ongoing procurement for their day-to-day activities, international shipping of mission-critical equipment, or the leasing of vehicles and heavy equipment for their field operations, our team of professionals provides reliable and robust logistics support.

Al Majal Business Parks (North Rumaila) has previously housed the headquarters of Baker Hughes, and recently consolidated their infrastructure requirements by constructing more than 40,000sqm of warehousing, workshop space, labs and office space.

Wood relies on AMLS to provide full-fledged transportation services for its employees working at oilfields across south Iraq. Our team manages a large fleet of vehicles dedicated to the company’s daily activities.

All vehicles are fitted with In-Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS) to enable the central monitoring of vehicle locations and adherence to speed limits. AMLS is also responsible for the vehicles’ road- worthiness, maintenance and periodic servicing. Both vehicles and drivers hold valid gate passes to their respective oilfields and concession areas at all times.

Since 2011, AMLS has served as the logistics backbone of Parker Drilling by providing a fleet of flatbeds, heavy lifting equipment, and storage facilities.

Our fleet moves more than 1,500 tons of pipes and equipment while covering an estimated distance of 7,500km on a monthly basis to locations like West Qurna, Zubair, Erbil, Rumaila and others.

The AMLS team also provides cranes, forklifts and manpower to load and unload cargo safely and in a timely manner. Moreover, Parker Drilling’s operations are backed by warehousing facilities and a machine workshop of 2,250sqm as well as a storage yard of 6,000sqm.

AMLS has served ChampionX (Nalco Champion) with comprehensive international freight services to deliver oilfield production chemicals from their manufacturing plants globally to the doorstep of their warehouses or to international oil companies in Iraq.

Whether chemicals are imported on a DDP- or DAP-basis, AMLS has supported ChampionX with issuing chemical import licenses, securing necessary approvals, completing customs clearance formalities and ensuring inspections are performed.

Our operations team is devoted to ensuring the timely delivery of crucial chemicals to Iraq, but more importantly, focuses on providing the service in a safe and secure manner in line with international standards.
